How parents add value in education?
A child’s education is the most pivotal part of our society, and we all are very much concerned about it. People who are directly related to a child, plays an important role in his or her education. Parents, teachers, guardians are the people who are very closely related to a child and can mould the small one, by providing proper education. Out of all these people, parents are said to be the most important one, who really cares about their child’s over all growth. In our Indian mythology, parents are said to be Gurus and are given first place in the process of teaching.

According to Bhagwat Geeta, a parent is the first Guru of his or her child. Why is it said so?
It’s because a child’s education begins at home, right from teaching a child, how to walk to making a child stand in front of a crowd to present something when they grow up.
Our parents teach us to:
Behave in society:
Behaviour is something which builds our character and lets people know about us. Behaviour is a trait which we learn at home. It helps us to build cordial relationships with others and also to be successful.
Respect others:
Give respect to earn respect. How we admire somebody or what we think about that person is shown through respect. When we respect others, we acquire more knowledge and love from them. And this is why we parents should teach our kids to respect others.
Academic education:
Academic education helps our kids to read and write, teach them analytical skills and impart knowledge about the world. Mostly they learn about all these things in their schools, but parents too play an important role in reinforcing the skills which are taught in schools.
Some parents though rely too much on teachers for educating their kids, but they forget that a teacher can introduce a skill but cannot reinforce it again and again. Here it is the responsibility of parents to keep drilling the skills in their child.
Holistic education:
Developing a child to be an all-rounder. Here we focus on educating a child from all the aspects of life, be it social behaviour, academic education, sports or any other thing. Our idea is to develop a true individual for the society of tomorrow. Parents play an important role here as they are the only one who wants their child to grow as a strong individual rather than a confused or distracted one.
All these points shows us how important parents are in imparting education to their kids and how they are valued in the process of education. If there is God in this world, then they are our parents who always stand beside us, no matter how big the storm is…
